As a Security Officer - Part Time Hospital in Las Vegas, NV , this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking‑up additional shifts when it works for you. Pay Rate: $18.54 / Hour Job Schedule: DayTimeTue07:00 AM - 07:00 PM How This Role Works: Fixed‑Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts'): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment. Earn More, Claim‑A‑Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It's all up to you. This role is ideal for candidates seeking part‑time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed. Responsibilities: Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security‑related procedures, site‑specific policies, and/or emergency response activities appropriate to a healthcare location. Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with site contacts and/or emergency personnel as needed. Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions. Monitor access points and help to control entry and exit activity in accordance with site protocols, while assisting with directions, escorts, and general support for people at the location. Support a professional environment by reporting hazards, policy violations, and/or security‑related concerns, and following post orders for assigned duties during various shifts and conditions. Minimum Requirements: Must have at least 2 years of security‑related experience. Must meet hospital vaccine requirements. Must be willing to work in a hospital environment that includes the morgue. Proof of a high school diploma or GED is required by the client. Must have 3 or more years of combined law enforcement, corrections, and/or military experience, or 5 or more years of armed security‑related experience. Must be at least 21 years of age. Must be able to restrain individuals in a hospital environment. Must have 2 or more years of service in a healthcare or medical‑related field. Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
