Development AssociateThe Children's Diabetes Foundation is looking for a Development Associate to be a force multiplier for the Executive Director (ED) and the Development Team. The Development Associate is responsible for assisting the ED with daily operations and supporting the Development team with donor outreach and stewardship, calendar scheduling, and travel arrangements. This role will also manage the process of locating, applying, and reporting on grants while also being instrumental in allowing the Development Team to focus on direct donor interactions.PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIESManage complex scheduling, prioritize meetings, and handle inbox correspondence for the Executive DirectorPrepare reports, draft documents, take meeting minutes, and maintain filing systemCoordinate, track, and manage ED level projects and deadlinesMaintain database integrity and import new donor recordsManage entirety of grant writing process from locating and applying, to reportingCreate ad hoc donor reports and segmented listsDraft and edit donor correspondence as neededManage tax acknowledgement processCoordinate travel arrangements and scheduling donor meetingsSupport strategic tasks and maintain operational efficiency of Development teamLead recognition efforts for partnerships, sponsorships, and donorsOther responsibilities to support the Development operation as neededKEY PERFORMANCE EXPECTATIONSManage up to the development team and ED with next steps and reminders for current prioritiesExcellent execution of our donor acknowledgement process to steward our donorsAccurate and timely data entry into the donor databaseAchieve yearly grant budget expectationsKEY QUALIFICATIONS2+ years of experience in an administrative role reporting directly to upper management requiredProject management experience preferredGrant writing and reporting experience requiredExperience at a nonprofit or fundraising office preferredTotal personal alignment with our mission and vision and commitment to our core valuesExperience with Microsoft OfficeExperience in CRM administration a plus but not requiredAble to establish trust and strong working relationships with colleagues, partners, and donorsAbility to communicate clearly and effectively both orally and in written formAdept in managing multiple projects and competing prioritiesHigh degree of organization and excellent use of systemsBenefitsThis is a full-time position, 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday, with occasional evening and weekend hours as needed. The role follows a hybrid office schedule and is based in Aurora, CO.
