We are seeking an experienced Sterile Compounding Pharmacist to serve as the Pharmacist In Charge (PIC). This role requires a minimum of two years of hands-on sterile compounding experience. The PIC will be responsible for preparing and verifying sterile compounded preparations while ensuring strict adherence to quality, accuracy, documentation, and regulatory standards. The position reports directly to the Pharmacy Director and entails maintaining outstanding safety and operational protocols within the pharmacy.
Responsibilities
- Perform sterile compounding and verify preparation accuracy
- Ensure quality control throughout the compounding process
- Maintain thorough and precise documentation
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory and safety standards
- Oversee pharmacy inventory management and equipment maintenance
- Monitor safety protocols and maintain record keeping
- Consult with customers regarding sterile compounded medications
- Lead and support a small pharmacy team effectively
Preferred Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of direct sterile compounding experience
