The Project Management Intern will assist the Sr. Program Manager in a variety of tasks focused on the "pre-execution" phase. These tasks can include assisting in developing business plans, managing functional groups, maintaining KPIs, assisting in drafting proposals and contract review, presentation creation, cost walks/financial analysis, and other miscellaneous tasks. The role will report directly to the Sr. Program Manager of Strategy and Planning, but will be available to support the whole team. This is a 40-hour-per-week, paid internship position located in Livonia, MI.As a Project Manager Intern, you will:Work with the functional groups to understand the requirements of a program, including Manufacturing Engineering, Quality, Purchasing and EngineeringAssist in drafting complex business plans (These business plans detail the operating plans the functional groups will follow to meet the deliverables for the program)Cost walk creation, monthly financial updates, and financial analysisAssist in drafting legal documentation, including quotes, proposals and Master Service Agreements (MSA)Assist in managing the key performance indicators (KPI) data log and documentation associated with the KPIsCreate and revise complex spreadsheets in Google Sheets and Microsoft ExcelAssist with management of the department asset crib, including asset tagging tools, updating the asset tracking spreadsheet, and coordinating with functional groups to ensure assets are tracked and repaired as neededVarious administrative tasks, including managing office supplies and coordinating department partiesCreate presentations for the Contract Manufacturing teamTo be considered as a Project Manager Intern, you will need:Pursuing a bachelor's or master's degree focused in Business: Economics, Finance, or related field OR having recently graduatedMust be a US Citizen or US permanent resident allowing for ITAR complianceExcellent verbal and written communication skills including in-person presentation skillsStrong financial acumenAbility to think critically and to analyze data and processes to create business plansAdvanced skills in Microsoft Suite (PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Project)Advanced skills in Google Suite (Sheets, Docs, Slides)A successful Project Manager Intern could also have:Experience in a manufacturing environmentLeadership experiencePrevious internship experienceKnowledge of managerial skills including people skills and time managementKnowledge of Program Management principlesKnowledge of Lean Six Sigma principlesOur part-time benefits include: Earned sick time and 401K.If you share our passion for providing innovative solutions to complex challenges, we want you on our team.
