Part-Time Retail AssociateThe Retail Associate contributes to total store results for the Houston Rockets Team shop. The focus of this role is to provide complete shopping experience for our customers, involving product knowledge and environmental involvement.RESPONSIBILITIES include but are not limited to:Demonstrates our One Team philosophy of Passion, Accountability, Customer Focus, and Teamwork.Maintaining and controlling merchandise inventoryPerforming store openings, operating, and closing dutiesGeneral upkeep of the merchandise and fixturesPerform physical inventories on a regular basisExecution of all forms of paymentOperation of point-of-sale register for all transactionsSet up and take down of retail locations during most eventsCustomer service during all transactions, both on the floor and at the POSWelcome customers by greeting them, helpingDirects customers by escorting them to racks, counters and suggesting itemsAdvises customers by providing information on productsAssist fellow employees in selling, to ensure great business transactions and customer serviceMINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:High school degree with at least two years retail and/or sales experienceExcellent customer service, and communication skillsHighly motivatedAble to manage multiple tasks and work in a team environmentMust always demonstrate professional and gracious demeanorBe able to meet sales goalsMust have an excellent energy level and be able to maintain it for entire shiftMust be dependableMust report to work in a presentable mannerMust be able to take directions well from Supervisor and follow throughMust pass background and credit checkPass a basic math skills testPHYSICAL & MENTAL REQUIREMENTS:While performing the duties of the job, the employee is regularly required to stand, sit, walk, use handle or feel, reach, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl, talk and hear.The vision requirement includes close vision and ability to adjust focus.Nature of position requires physical mobility and the ability to lift a minimum of 20 pounds.Must have ability to adjust to changing work hours and locations as needed.
