Microbiology Technician/Associate ScientistLocation: Pleasanton, California Type: Contract Contractor Work Model: Onsite Hours: 8:00 to 4:30 or 8:30 to 5:00 Monday to FridayResponsibilities:The Microbiology Technician role supports critical internal R&D formulation development required to establish robust products and method development for various initiatives across company businesses. This role is responsible for the prep, execution, and data analysis of laboratory testing in conjunction with the guidance of Scientists and oversight of the Group Manager. The Microbiology Technician will work with a variety of microbes including Mycobacterium tuberculosis, Clostridioides difficile, Staphylococcus Aureus among others.Executing a variety microbiological laboratory experiments in collaboration with other technicians and scientistsCollecting, evaluating, and presenting data to inform teams to enable project decisionsSupporting laboratory upkeep, maintenance, ordering of equipment and supplies, media preparationContributing to knowledge management practices with standardization and consistencyEffectively network internally and externallyCollaborating cross-functionally with individuals in a wide variety of disciplines and backgrounds and building effective relationships.New test method development & validationRequirements:Bachelor's DegreeBackground in microbiologyExperience with aseptic techniques and dilution proceduresQuickly understand and follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)System One, and its subsidiaries including Joulé, ALTA IT Services, and Mountain Ltd., are leaders in delivering outsourced services and workforce solutions across North America.
