Job Brief
Kable Workforce Solutions is hiring a Maintenance Tech for our client. This job is responsible for maintaining a safe, clean, and functional living environment for residents, staff, and visitors. This role performs routine maintenance, repairs, and preventative maintenance on apartment units and property grounds while ensuring compliance with safety regulations.

What’s a Typical Day Like?

• Ensure a safe, secure, and comfortable environment for residents, visitors, and staff.
• Inspect property conditions regularly and address unsafe or hazardous issues promptly.
• Perform routine preventative maintenance on equipment and property systems.
• Diagnose and complete minor and routine maintenance and repairs.
• Complete all make-ready repairs and services for apartment units.
• Inspect and assist in coordinating unit readiness for new occupants.
• Maintain cleanliness of work areas and perform general cleanup duties.
• Assist with grounds maintenance, including raking, sweeping, and shoveling as needed.
• Follow all EPA, OSHA, and safety regulations.
• Use and maintain hand tools, power tools, and maintenance equipment safely.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.

What Are the Requirements of the Job?

• Minimum 1 year of apartment maintenance experience required
• High School Diploma or GED required
• HVAC certification preferred
• Valid Driver’s License and automobile insurance required
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and on-call shifts
• Knowledge of maintenance practices, tools, and equipment
• Strong attention to safety and detail
• Residential apartment community setting
• Exposure to indoor and outdoor environments, including all weather conditions
• Ability to be on feet for extended periods
• Frequent bending, stooping, squatting, kneeling, and climbing stairs/ladders
• Ability to push, pull, reach, and perform repetitive movements
• Ability to lift and carry up to 75 lbs
• Good hand dexterity and ability to use tools effectively
• Ability to read and understand maintenance forms and safety labels
