Staff Talent Acquisition Specialist Location: Tucson, AZ | Northridge, CA | Niwot, CO Industry: Aerospace & Defense / National Security Employment Type: Full-time Work Arrangement: On-site Salary: $90,000–$115,000 per year About the Role An established organization supporting national security and Department of Defense (DoD) programs is seeking a Staff Talent Acquisition Specialist with strong full-cycle recruiting experience. This role partners with hiring managers, security teams, and other internal stakeholders to recruit and onboard technical and administrative talent while ensuring compliance with applicable employment and security requirements. The position is non-supervisory and exempt , with a strong focus on recruitment execution, candidate experience, compliance, and process accuracy. Key Responsibilities Manage and support full-cycle recruitment for technical and administrative positions supporting DoD programs. Source, identify, and screen qualified candidates based on organizational hiring requirements. Coordinate behavioral and competency-based interviews. Manage candidate communications and interview scheduling with professionalism and confidentiality. Coordinate onboarding activities, including background checks, security clearance verification, and other compliance requirements. Partner with hiring managers, security personnel, HR, and other departments to ensure an efficient hiring and onboarding process. Use sourcing platforms such as LinkedIn Recruiter, ClearanceJobs, and similar tools to identify and engage qualified candidates. Maintain accurate candidate records and recruitment metrics within applicant tracking systems and HR platforms. Ensure recruitment activities comply with applicable federal and state employment laws. Support broader Talent Acquisition and HR initiatives. Identify opportunities to improve recruiting processes and workflows. Requirements 4+ years of full-cycle recruitment experience across technical and administrative positions. Current experience with ADP Workforce Now Recruitment Module or a comparable ATS. Working knowledge of federal and state employment laws relevant to recruitment. Experience conducting behavioral and competency-based interviews. Exceptional attention to detail and ability to follow established recruitment processes. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality and discretion. Ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret security clearance . U.S. citizenship required for position eligibility. Successful completion of a criminal background screening and applicable government security investigation required. Successful completion of a Department of Transportation (DOT) drug test required. Preferred Qualifications HR Generalist experience. PHR or similar HR certification. Bachelor's degree in Human Resources Management or a related field. Knowledge of DoD security clearance and onboarding processes. Experience recruiting candidates who hold active or prior security clearances. Basic understanding of DoD contract structures and workforce requirements. Core Competencies Creative and innovative approach to solving recruitment challenges.
