About the Role
The Company is seeking a Vice President of Finance and Administration (VPFA) to join its senior management team. The VPFA will be a key leader in the organization, responsible for strategic financial and administrative leadership. This role involves close collaboration with the President, Board of Directors, and various senior leaders to ensure the organization's fiscal strategy, internal controls, and risk management are in line with its mission. The successful candidate will oversee all financial functions, including accounting, budgeting, financial reporting, and compliance, and will also be involved in general business administration, risk management, and information technology. Applicants for the VPFA position at the company should have a degree in a relevant field, with a master's degree, MBA, or CPA preferred, and at least 10 years' experience in nonprofit or mission-driven finance leadership. The role requires a strategic thinker with a strong knowledge of GAAP, nonprofit financial regulations, and grants management. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of advising senior leadership on complex financial matters and be committed to racial and economic equity. Responsibilities also include managing finance teams, fostering an inclusive team culture, and ensuring the organization's financial practices align with its values. The VPFA will be expected to lead the development and implementation of financial policies and procedures, as well as oversee the organization's IT and security to support its operations and mission.
