Senior Auditor – National CPA Firm – BostonLocation: Boston, MA (Hybrid)A National Public Accounting firm is actively looking to add an experienced Senior Auditor to their expanding Audit and Assurance team. Be part of an organization with a diverse client base that offers the latest technology, professional training, and top-tier benefits to its staff.In this client-facing position, Senior Auditors will work closely with teammates and senior leaders at the firm to provide audit, assurance, and accounting services to a diverse client base.Primary Responsibilities:Meet with clients regularly to coordinate and execute a range of audit and assurance activitiesParticipate in the planning, fieldwork, and completion of audit engagementsPerform substantive testing and analysis of client balance sheets, income statements, and supporting documentationPrepare and review financial statements, workpapers, and audit documentation for accuracy and compliance with professional standardsAssist with engagement budgets, timelines, expenses, and staff allocationSupervise and guide junior audit staff throughout engagementsIdentify areas of audit risk and work with senior management to develop appropriate audit procedures and recommendationsProvide guidance to clients as it relates to audit findings, accounting standards, and best practicesMaintain regular communication with clients and engagement teams throughout the audit processQualifications:Bachelor's degree in Accounting required2-3+ years of recent public accounting audit experience requiredCPA or actively pursuing CPA certification preferredStrong knowledge of GAAP and generally accepted auditing standardsAbility to travel up to 20-25% annually based on client and engagement needsAbility to work a hybrid schedule in the Boston officeCompensation:Competitive salary range: $95,000 - $115,000 per year, commensurate with experience and certification status, plus benefits and performance incentives.
