Shift & Schedule: Evening Shift | Monday–Friday | 12:00 PM – 8:00 PM | 40 Hours/Week
Pay Rate:
Local Rate: $2,100/Week (Based on experience)
Travel Rate: $2,774/Week (Based on experience)
Position Overview:
We are seeking an Ultrasound Technologist for an exciting Contract opportunity in Brooklyn, NY. The ideal candidate will perform high-quality ultrasound examinations, assist radiologists during diagnostic procedures, and ensure exceptional patient care while maintaining imaging equipment and departmental standards.
Responsibilities
Perform ultrasound examinations in accordance with established departmental procedures and imaging protocols.
Prepare and position patients while ensuring comfort, safety, and accurate diagnostic imaging.
Operate, adjust, clean, and perform minor maintenance on ultrasound equipment.
Follow safety procedures to protect patients and staff during ultrasound procedures.
Capture, review, and transfer diagnostic images through PACS for physician interpretation.
Maintain adequate supplies and ensure a clean, organized ultrasound work area.
Assist radiologists during ultrasound procedures as needed.
Support the orientation and training of new ultrasound personnel.
Schedule examinations, coordinate patient transportation, and assist with departmental communication.
Maintain accurate documentation and perform related duties in support of daily department operations.
Required Qualifications
Associate's Degree required.
Minimum 2 years of Ultrasound Technologist experience required.
American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) Certification required.
Current American Heart Association (AHA) BLS Certification required.
Strong knowledge of ultrasound procedures, imaging equipment, and PACS.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and computer applications.
Excellent problem-solving, communication, organizational, and patient care skills.
English proficiency (Speak, Read, and Write) required.
$1,520 - $1,620 per week
