Please note: Recurring travel to properties throughout the region of responsibility required. Travel to national level meetings required.Job DescriptionJob Summary: The People Business Partner role will be someone who is a creative business problem solver who is responsible for the development and delivery of innovative people solutions. More specifically, the role will be executing the talent agenda in support of all business objectives and strategic direction of AIR Communities. This position serves as a generalist (functionally) with an emphasis in the areas of onboarding, offboarding, team member relations, people operations, data maintenance and leader coaching and development. This person will help navigate complex challenges and must be solution oriented with the ability to work across multiple teams. Essential Functions: Build relationships with leaders and team members to offer thought leadership, people strategy and execution in our fast-paced and growing business. Provides input and influence on strategic direction by serving as a trusted advisor to the various teams on a wide variety of issuesWorks closely with management and team members to improve work relationships, build morale, and increase productivity and retentionProvide HR policy guidance and interpretation to the Senior Leadership TeamPartners with larger People team regarding complex organizational design changesActs as trusted advisor and credible source of information for leaders and team members.Supports leaders with employee relations, employee development, performance improvement plans, terminations, documentation and internal investigations.Supports the talent acquisition process by preparing & modifying job descriptions, partnering with the recruiting team, and initiating/supporting the compensation market data analysis.Supports the Risk Management team in the processing of workplace injuries, Worker’s Compensation administration and reporting requirements. Manages onboarding and exit surveys, aggregates themes and provides actionable recommendations to enhance the team member experience.Partners with People team to build and execute key development programs and initiatives, including people assessments and training.Partners with Learning and Development to build, enhance and grow career pathing, planning and development for team members.Supports year-end compensation cycle, talent reviews, and promotions.Leverage analytics to review trends to help inform solutions, programs and policies.Maintains knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of our teams, reducing legal risks and ensuring regulatory compliance.Promotes diversity & inclusion, collaboration, fairness, high-performance, innovation and integrity.QualificationsQualifications:Exceptional communication skills are required to present, discuss, and explain complex information to employees.Excellent client service skills and ability to partner with multiple, diverse stakeholdersStrong change management skills with the ability to drive organization, process, and technology changeStrong team player with ability to multi-task and meet deadlines, while thriving in a fast-paced work environmentSuperb analytical and problem-solving skillsOutstanding verbal and written communication skillsIndustry experience in real estate, preferably multi familyStrong people management skills with high EQExcellent client service skills and ability to partner with multiple, diverse stakeholdersAbility to lead projects including building timeline, communication plan, facilitate discussion with a strong attention to detailStrong team player with ability to multi-task and meet deadlines, while thriving in a fast-paced work environmentAbility to use data and analytics to address and problem-solving skills to make decisions to help improve overall organization health.Strong proficiency in all MS Office products, including knowledge of HRIS related softwareEducation:Bachelor’s degree in business or related areaMinimum 5 years of generalist experience in Human Resources advising business units on all matters related to people and culture including employee relations, performance management, compensation, talent management and recruitmentPreferred:HR Certification such as PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCPBilingual Spanish including written fluency.Additional InformationAIR offers attractive total compensation packages designed to recognize and reward performance at the individual, team and company levels. We start with a competitive base salary and add bonus opportunities and benefit choices topped off with:Expected base salary of $95,000- $125,000 +Annual Bonus.
