Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Days | 12-Hour Variable Shifts | Sunday–Saturday Coverage | On-Call Required

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct perioperative nursing care to patients in the operating room across a variable day shift schedule
• Perform scrub and/or circulating duties for a range of surgical procedures
• Participate in on-call rotation, estimated at 70–90 hours per 6-week period, including weekend and holiday call coverage
• Document patient care accurately using the Epic electronic health records system
• Float to sister facilities nearby as required by the assignment
• Commit to working 3 of the 5 designated holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, and New Year's Day

Required Qualifications

• Active, valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of California; compact license must be in hand at time of submission — pending licenses are not accepted
• Minimum of 2 years of Operating Room RN experience; first-time travelers to this specialty are not accepted
• BCLS certification required
• Willingness and availability to fulfill on-call requirements, including weekends and holidays
• All RTO and scheduling requests must be submitted at the time of initial submission; post-offer RTO requests may not be considered
• Must live within 50 miles of the facility to be eligible as a local candidate; locals are welcome

Preferred Experience / Skills

• 3 or more years of OR RN experience, with exposure to a broad range of surgical procedures
• ACLS certification preferred
• Prior experience charting in Epic
