Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Cardiovascular OR/Open Heart position requiring an Illinois RN license and prior relevant nursing experience.
Details
- Open Heart unit within a hospital setting
- Day shift schedule, 6:30 AM to 5 PM, Monday through Friday, 8-hour shifts, 40 hours per week
- 20-week assignment length
- Rotational weekend and holiday shift requirements
- May float to other Carle Health facilities including Methodist Hospital, Young Minds, Pekin Hospital, and Proctor Hospital
- Uses Epic EMR for charting
Requirements
- Active Illinois RN license in good standing required
- BLS and ACLS certification (American Heart Association) required
- BSN required
- Minimum two years of relevant nursing experience required
- Epic charting experience required
- Experience in a Level 1 Trauma setting required
Additional Information
- Collaborates with an interdisciplinary care team to develop and manage individualized patient care plans
- Performs patient assessments, documentation, and evaluates progress toward expected outcomes
- Provides patient and family education tailored to age, cultural, and developmental factors
- Performs bedside lab testing and specimen collection as needed
- Demonstrates technical knowledge of equipment and troubleshooting skills
- Advocates for patients and coordinates care from admission through discharge
- Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility; local candidates not accepted
- RTO not to exceed 7 total days per 13-week contract period
- Contingent workers may not remain on assignment at Carle Health locations for more than 1 year without a 6-month break in service
