How you'll contribute A Clinic MA who excels in this role: * Under the supervision of physicians or nurses, assists with performing patient assessments and treatments. * Performs basic diagnostic procedures and specimen collection. Monitors and communication changes in patient condition. Documents patient care given. * Maintains equipment and medical supplies, including reordering, stocking, cleaning and troubleshooting. Maintains examination areas. * Perform administrative or clerical duties assigned, including filing, reception, scheduling, data entry, and patient registration. What we're looking for Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) license required and possess a high school diploma or equivalent. Additional requirements include: * Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action. * Minimum Work Experience: One-year related experience, preferred. One year clinic experience, preferred. * Basic Life Support Health Care Provider (BLS-HSP) * Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. * Demonstrates proficiency in verbal and written communication skills * Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to interact effectively and professionally with individuals at all levels; both internal and external More about UP Health System - Portage UP Health System - Portage has been serving Michigan's Western Upper Peninsula since 1896.
