Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care within the Interventional Radiology department, including continuous monitoring of patient condition, vital signs, and intravenous lines
• Administer medications and first aid under the direction of a physician, and assist with patient comfort throughout procedures
• Assist with invasive and non-invasive procedures performed in the IR suite, Ultrasound, CT, MRI, and Diagnostic areas in a 1:1 patient ratio environment
• Maintain emergency equipment and supplies, including crash cart drug inventory and emergency drug reaction kits, ensuring proper working order at all times
• Serve as a liaison between the Imaging department and patient care divisions, ensuring accurate documentation and timely communication of any adverse changes in patient condition
• Participate in on-call rotation and float as needed within the department; flu vaccination or facility-approved exemption required November 1 through April 1

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license valid in Missouri or compact state eligibility
• ACLS certification required
• PALS certification required
• BLS certification required
• Minimum 1 year of Interventional Radiology nursing experience
• Proficiency with Cerner EMR (facility transitioning to Epic)
• Must be able to read, write, and speak English

Preferred Experience / Skills

• ARNA (Association of Radiologic and Imaging Nursing) certification preferred
• Background in critical care nursing with demonstrated ability to perform well under pressure
• Experience with Nihon Kohden patient monitoring equipment
