Associate Patient Services Specialist - Emergency Registration PV

Description Associate Patient Services Specialist in Emergency Registration PV Unit at Petaluma Valley Hospital. This position is Per Diem and will work 8-hour Evening Shifts. Providence Petaluma Valley Hospital provides outstanding patient care which has garnered our placement on the Maternity Honor Roll for the California Health and Human Services Agency. Join our reputable team and be part of a healthcare institution known for its clinical excellence and compassionate care. Performs all registration functions for patients. This includes collecting accurate demographic information, verifying insurance benefits and eligibility, obtaining authorization/pre-certification for services provided, and collecting patient liability prior to or at the time of service. Greets and serves patients in a professional, friendly, and respectful manner to promote sacred encounters. Required Qualifications 1 year Experience in a healthcare or customer service setting with proven customer service skills. Preferred Qualifications Coursework/Training Some college and/or certificate courses. Experience in hospital registration or healthcare setting. Experience utilizing medical terminology in job setting and a basic understanding of insurance requirements. Experience with MEDITECH/A4 system.
