Workforce Programs Coordinator

LeadingAge Minnesota (LAMN) is the largest association of organizations serving Minnesota seniors, including skilled nursing facilities, assisted living, adult day services, and other home- and community-based services. It serves as a catalyst to shape the future of aging services and ensure older adults in every community live with dignity and purpose. As the Workforce Programs Coordinator , reporting to the Director of Workforce Solutions, you will support the effective execution of programs, member resources and key initiatives that support recruitment, retention and development of the aging services workforce. You will also play a key role in supporting grant projects, providing member support, developing marketing and communications, tracking utilization and maintaining workforce platforms and programs. What you’ll need to thrive: Experience or knowledge of the aging services field, including workforce development, scholarships, and workforce programming. The ideal candidate will bring a passion for strengthening the aging services workforce and a strong understanding of aging services terminology, workforce challenges, career pathways, scholarship programs, workforce initiatives, and the diverse roles that support older adults across the continuum of care. Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education, training, and relevant professional experience, with a demonstrated ability to succeed in an administrative, operational, or customer-facing role. Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to interpret procedures and technical documentation, prepare reports and correspondence, and communicate effectively with customers, colleagues, and leadership. Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with sound judgment, attention to detail, and the capacity to manage multiple priorities while following established processes and procedures. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, Google Workspace, and collaboration platforms such as Zoom, and SharePoint, with the ability to quickly learn new systems and technologies. Strong mathematical and organizational skills, including the ability to work with percentages, measurements, and basic calculations while maintaining accurate records and supporting business operations. What you’ll do as the Workforce Programs Coordinator: Manage the day-to-day operations of workforce programs and online career platforms, including CaringCareersStartHere.com, OnTrack training programs, and AgingServicesJobs.org, providing member and participant support, coordinating vendor relationships, and ensuring a positive user experience across all workforce initiatives. Develop and execute outreach, marketing, and engagement activities to increase participation and awareness, including website content, promotional materials, events, job fairs, newsletters, social media, and stakeholder communications. Serve as a primary point of contact for members, employers, job seekers, partners, and vendors, responding to inquiries, facilitating participation, gathering feedback, and supporting effective program delivery. Track, analyze, and report on workforce program performance, utilization trends, and key metrics to support strategic planning, budgeting, program evaluation, and continuous improvement efforts. Support the development, implementation, and administration of workforce programs, grants, and special initiatives, including coordination of communications, documentation, research activities, invoicing, reporting, and stakeholder engagement.
