We are looking for someone savvy to join our team as the Technical Support & Sales Specialist, reporting to the President. You'll work directly with customers to understand their needs, recommend equipment, troubleshoot technical challenges, and help them get the most out of the technology we provide. You'll also play an important role in keeping our day-to-day operations running smoothly and helping our business continue to grow. 

No prior experience with our specific equipment is necessary. We're looking for someone who enjoys learning new technology, solving problems, building relationships, and being part of a collaborative small-business team. 

Primary Responsibilities 

Product Expertise & Resources 

• Develop and maintain a thorough understanding of the equipment and software we sell; stay up to date with product changes and new releases. Serve as the product knowledge expert internally and externally. 
• Organize and expand internal product resources, including documentation, manuals, images, demonstration videos, training materials, and sample files. 
• Maintain and update website product information and pricing. 

Technical Support 

• Perform virtual hardware and software demonstrations for prospective customers, and installation and training sessions for new customers. 
• Troubleshoot ongoing tech issues with current customers, identify potential solutions, and coordinate with manufacturers when needed, maintaining communication with the customer through resolution. 
• Support day-to-day service operations, including rental equipment inventory, shipment preparation, and the cleaning, calibration, and testing of returned equipment; occasionally provide digitization services for customers. 

Consultative Sales & Client Relationships 

• Respond to inbound inquiries, make outbound calls and emails, understand customers' technical needs and budgets, and recommend appropriate equipment and solutions. 
• Prepare and send product recommendations and quotations, answer questions, and provide additional information as needed. 
• Maintain accurate customer records and communication histories while building long-term client relationships through responsive, knowledgeable service. 

Skills & Experience to be Successful in this Role 

• 2–3+ years of experience in customer service, technical support, inside sales, or another customer-facing role. 
• Comfortable learning new technology, software, and hardware; experience troubleshooting technical issues is a plus. 
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly to customers with varying levels of technical expertise. 
• Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities while following through on customer needs. 
• Self-motivated and resourceful, with strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills. 
• Enjoys working collaboratively in a small business environment while also taking ownership of tasks independently. 
• Interested in learning about our products and contributing to the growth and success of the business. 
• Positive attitude; adaptable and flexible.
