Pearl River, NY (On-Site Monday-Friday 7am-3:30pm)

Our long-term client is seeking a Electrical Estimator to join their growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with electrical estimating experience who is looking to develop their career with a well-established organization. The ideal candidate will have experience reviewing electrical plans, performing takeoffs, and assisting with the preparation of competitive project bids.

Responsibilities

• Review electrical drawings, blueprints, and specifications for commercial and residential construction projects.
• Perform material and labor takeoffs from electrical plans.
• Prepare accurate cost estimates, bid sheets, and pricing proposals.
• Analyze project requirements and identify potential cost-saving opportunities.
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and contractors throughout the bidding process.
• Ensure estimates align with National Electrical Code (NEC) requirements and project specifications.
• Maintain and update estimating spreadsheets, templates, and project documentation.
• Assist in the preparation and submission of project bids.

Required Qualifications

• 1-3 years of electrical estimating experience.
• Experience working on commercial and/or residential high-rise construction projects.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and blueprints.
• Hands-on experience performing material and labor takeoffs.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD , specifically reviewing electrical plans and drawings.
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills, including experience creating and maintaining cost spreadsheets, bid sheets, and estimating templates.
• Working knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC).
• Understanding of:
  • Receptacle placement
  • Lighting layouts
  • Single-pole, 3-way, and 4-way switches
  • Circuits and electrical distribution systems
  • Electrical code requirements

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Bluebeam for digital takeoffs.
• Experience utilizing Accubid or similar electrical estimating software.
• Exposure to high-voltage (HV) electrical projects and estimates.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.

This is a Contract position based out of Pearl River, NY.

The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $30.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.

This is a fully onsite position in Pearl River,NY.
