Job Description CDM Smith is looking for an entry-level Environmental, Water Resources, or Civil Engineer to join our Water Services Group. This position presents an excellent opportunity for early career candidates to apply their engineering skills to innovative and sustainable water projects and to grow within a dynamic team. Responsibilities Support the design and implementation of water and wastewater treatment facilities, sewer systems, pipelines, and associated infrastructure. Operate under supervision to ensure designs meet client specifications and comply with federal, state, and local regulatory standards. Conduct site assessments, adjust design parameters as needed, and perform water quality analyses and modeling. Contribute to technical report preparation, documentation, and collaborate on presentations for client meetings and industry conferences. Assist in creating documents and presentations using tools such as ArcGIS, HEC‑RAS, SWMM, CADD, Excel, and other software. Participate in fieldwork supporting construction management activities, providing a comprehensive project lifecycle experience. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Civil, Environmental, or Chemical Engineering or related discipline. Minimum one year of related experience. Domestic and/or international travel may be required. Equivalent additional directly related experience will be considered in lieu of a degree. Driving Requirements An appropriate and valid driver's license is required. Skills & Abilities Intermediate knowledge of CAD/CADD 3D and 4D software and practices, knowledge of engineering principles of design, expert knowledge of Microsoft business software (Excel, Word, etc.), and good written and verbal communication skills.
