Medical Technologist – Clinical Laboratory
Location: Bradenton, FL
Job Type: Perm Contingent
Duration: Permanent
Shift: Full-Time | Nights and Evenings (Rotating Weekends)
Schedule: Full-Time; rotating weekends

Pay Rate

• Salary Range: $27.09 – $32.51 – $37.92/hr (commensurate with experience)

• Sign-On Bonus: None specified

Required Qualifications

• Active Florida State Licensure as a Medical Technologist required in at least 3 areas of the lab (licensure in all areas preferred)

• Nationally recognized certification as a Medical Technologist required ( ASCP preferred )

• Associate degree in Medical Technology with formal training required ( Bachelor’s degree preferred )

• Minimum 3 years of Medical Technologist experience in a hospital laboratory preferred

• Strong Blood Bank experience preferred

• MUST be comfortable working independently / alone and covering multiple areas of the laboratory

• Strong critical thinking skills, decisive judgment, and ability to thrive in a fast-paced setting

Responsibilities

• Perform stat and routine clinical laboratory testing across licensed technical disciplines under the direction of laboratory leadership

• Execute laboratory procedures consistent with established written protocols, quality standards, and regulatory requirements

• Apply theoretical concepts and independent clinical judgment to ensure prompt, accurate diagnostic results

• Maintain active competencies and regulatory compliance across Blood Bank, Chemistry, and Hematology

• Perform non-technical support functions as needed, including specimen collection, accessioning/processing, and referral testing

• Support laboratory goals related to diagnostic turnaround times, quality assurance, regulatory compliance, and interdepartmental collaboration
