Inventory Control Clerk I

Join the Cadence Team as an Inventory Control Clerk! Are you detail-oriented, organized, and committed to accuracy? We are seeking an Inventory Control Clerk to support our warehouse and inventory operations onsite in Staunton, VA . In this role, you will help ensure inventory accuracy, maintain records, support shipping and receiving activities, and collaborate with multiple departments to keep operations running smoothly. What You'll Do Inventory Management Monitor inventory levels and assist with stock replenishment activities. Report inventory discrepancies, damaged materials, and shortages. Partner with various internal stakeholders to support inventory needs. Receiving & Storage Verify incoming shipments against purchase orders and packing slips. Ensure materials are properly labeled and stored in designated locations. Update inventory records accurately for all incoming and outgoing products. Order Fulfillment Pick, pack, and prepare materials for customer orders or production requirements. Ensure shipments are accurate, properly labeled, and meet shipping standards. Coordinate with shipping personnel to ensure timely deliveries. Safety & Compliance Follow all company safety policies and warehouse procedures. Ensure inventory practices comply with company standards and inventory management methods, including FIFO and FEFO principles. What We're Looking For Required Skills & Qualifications Prior experience in inventory control, warehouse operations, shipping/receiving, or a related field preferred. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Experience with inventory management, ERP, or warehouse management systems (WMS). Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Outlook. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. Strong communication and problem-solving abilities. Technical Knowledge Familiarity with shipping carrier software (UPS, FedEx, etc.) is a plus. Understanding of inventory control processes and warehouse best practices. Experience generating reports and maintaining electronic documentation. Physical Requirements Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull inventory and materials. Ability to stand and walk for extended periods throughout the shift. Frequent bending, stooping, kneeling, reaching, and stretching.
