Northrop Grumman Space Systems, Multi-Domain Operations, Missile Defense Integration Business Unit (BU), has an exciting career opportunity for a  Test Engineer/Principal Test Engineer to join our team located in  Huntsville, AL.

The selected candidate should thrive in a fast-paced work environment with high expectations, significantly diverse assignments, and collaborative/team settings across all levels.

Basic Qualifications:

This requisition may be filled at a Test Engineer or a Principal Test Engineer level.

Basic Qualifications for a Test Engineer (Level 2) are: 

• Bachelor’s Degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics) discipline preferred from an accredited university and 2 years of related experience, or a Master's Degree and no experience.

• Design, develop, implement, and execute test plans, integration plans, and procedures to complete system-level integration testing.

• Ability to understand and interpret requirements and test guidance to complete system-level integration testing.

• Experience developing testing criteria to successfully satisfy requirements.

• Experience in C++ development

• Strong background using Python

• Ability and willingness to travel up to 10% to support business needs .

• Applicants must have a current active in-scope U.S. Government DoD issued Secret security clearance at the time of application, which is required to start .

Basic Qualifications for a Principal Test Engineer (Level 3) are: 

• Bachelor’s Degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics) discipline preferred from an accredited university and 5 years of related experience, or a Master's Degree and 3 years of related experience, or 1 year of experience with a PhD.

• Design, develop, implement, and execute test plans, integration plans, and procedures to complete system-level integration testing.

• Ability to understand and interpret requirements and test guidance to complete system-level integration testing.

• Experience developing testing criteria to successfully satisfy requirements.

• Experience in C++ development

• Strong background using Python

• Experience using Eggplant

• Experience with Gitlab or Bitbucket

• Ability and willingness to travel up to 10% to support business needs .

• Applicants must have a current active in-scope U.S. Government DoD issued Secret security clearance at the time of application, which is required to start .

Preferred Qualifications:

• Security+ certification

• GMD/GWS Domain Knowledge

• Java experience/understanding

• Experience using TATS tool

• Active, in-scope U.S. Government DoD Top Secret clearance

Primary Level Salary Range: $79,600.00 - $119,400.00

Secondary Level Salary Range: $98,900.00 - $148,300.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
