Morehouse School of Medicine (MSM) invites an accomplished board-certified or board-eligible Infectious Disease Physician to join our expanding Division of Infectious Diseases as a Professor within the Department of Internal Medicine.

Based in Atlanta, Georgia, our faculty provide care at Grady Memorial Hospital , one of the nation's premier academic safety-net hospitals and a nationally recognized teaching institution. Here, you will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams while caring for a diverse patient population with complex infectious diseases.

The Division of Infectious Diseases currently includes three dedicated Infectious Disease physicians and is expanding to support growing clinical, educational, and research initiatives.

Position Highlights

As a member of our faculty, you will:

• Provide comprehensive inpatient Infectious Disease consultation services at Grady Memorial Hospital.
• Deliver evidence-based, patient-centered care for individuals with a broad range of infectious diseases.
• Teach and mentor medical students, residents, and other trainees in a collaborative academic environment.
• Participate in clinical research, vaccine trials, and other scholarly activities that advance the field of Infectious Diseases.
• Contribute to the AIDS Education and Training Center (AETC) and support innovative HIV education and care initiatives.
• Participate in our multidisciplinary outpatient HIV clinic and provide Outpatient Parenteral Antimicrobial Therapy (OPAT) follow-up care.
• Collaborate with nationally respected faculty across multiple specialties to improve patient outcomes and advance academic medicine.

Qualifications

• MD or DO from an accredited medical school.
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Infectious Diseases.
• Eligible for unrestricted medical licensure in the State of Georgia.
• Demonstrated commitment to excellence in patient care, medical education, scholarship, and academic medicine.
• Academic accomplishments consistent with appointment at the Professor level.
