Job Title: Maintenance Mechanic Job Description This role is a multi-craft industrial maintenance position responsible for performing both mechanical and electrical repairs on production equipment. You will use a variety of hand and power tools to diagnose issues, complete repairs, and support preventive maintenance activities to keep machinery running efficiently and reduce production downtime. Responsibilities Perform mechanical and electrical repairs on a wide range of production equipment. Troubleshoot equipment issues to identify root causes and implement effective solutions. Use hand tools and power tools safely and efficiently to perform maintenance and repair tasks. Assist with scheduled preventive maintenance on production machinery to minimize unexpected breakdowns. Support efforts to reduce downtime by responding promptly to maintenance requests and prioritizing critical repairs. Inspect machinery and equipment for wear, damage, or potential failure and report findings promptly. Document maintenance activities, repairs, and parts used to support accurate maintenance records. Collaborate with production staff to understand equipment performance issues and plan corrective actions. Follow all safety procedures and guidelines while working on mechanical and electrical systems. Essential Skills Proven experience in troubleshooting mechanical and electrical issues on industrial or production equipment. Hands-on experience performing repairs and maintenance as a maintenance technician or in a similar role. Strong mechanical aptitude, including knowledge of basic mechanical systems and components. Ability to work with hydraulic systems, including basic understanding of operation and safety considerations. Skilled in using hand tools and power tools for repair and maintenance work. Ability to read and follow instructions, maintenance procedures, and safety guidelines. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail when diagnosing equipment issues. Ability to work independently and manage multiple maintenance tasks during the shift. Additional Skills & Qualifications Any education related to maintenance, industrial technology, or manufacturing is a plus. Certifications in maintenance, industrial mechanics, electrical, or manufacturing technology are considered an advantage. Familiarity with preventive maintenance programs and practices. Basic understanding of industrial safety standards and safe work practices. Willingness to continually learn new equipment and maintenance techniques. Why Work Here?
