About the Position

Job Title: RN PACU Profession: RN Specialty: PACU Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 09:00 AM - 07:30 PM Hours per Shift: 10 hours Experience: Minimum 2 years in one location; 2 years as a Traveler License: RN License Certifications: AHA BLS; BSN and CNOR preferred; BLS, PALS, ACLS Must-Have: Basic aseptic technique Circulating independently Multispecialty competence Experience with Mako and Davinci systems Description: This position requires compliance with rotating shifts. Or RN Days/Eves and Weekend Rotation is required, with either 36 or 40 hours. There will be 1-2 rotations to weekends and 1-2 rotations to evenings per 4-week schedule. On-call duty is required. Shifts may vary as follows: 4x10's, 2x10's, or 2x8's. Typically, shifts are scheduled mostly in the evening, with hours such as 9:00 AM - 7:30 PM, 10:00 AM - 8:30 PM, 2:00 PM - 12:30 PM, and 8:00 AM - 6:30 PM. The clinical to patient ratio is 1:1. Patient populations include pediatric, adult, and geriatric. Daily patient census is approximately 30 - 40 patients. The charting system utilized is EPIC. Floating is not required. Rotating shifts require rotation to 2-3 evenings per 4-week schedule. Weekend rotation consists of 1-2 shifts per 4-week schedule. Call requirements include 1 holiday call, 2-3 weekday calls per 4-week schedule, and 1-2 weekends per 4-week schedule. Weekend shifts will include call duties. Example: Working Saturday from 7:00 AM - 5:30 PM with call from 5:30 PM - 11:00 PM.
