Job Title: Floating Teller (On-Site Gaithersburg, MD)

Location: Gaithersburg, MD (Must be able to travel to nearby branches in Gaithersburg, Maryland)

Job Type: Contract (5 months) with strong potential for permanent hire

Pay: $23.28/hour

About the Role

We are seeking a customer-focused Floating Teller to support a high-volume retail banking environment. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced setting, enjoys helping people, and has strong attention to detail when handling cash transactions.

As a Floating Teller, you will primarily focus on cash handling and front-line member service , while also supporting nearby branches as needed.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional face-to-face customer service to members and prospective members
• Accurately process cash transactions , including deposits, withdrawals, and payments
• Assist customers with account-related inquiries and basic banking services
• Maintain accuracy and compliance while handling sensitive financial information
• Balance cash drawer and ensure proper documentation of transactions
• Promote and explain available financial products and services when appropriate
• Support multiple branch locations within the local area (Gaithersburg, Germantown, Rockville)
• Work collaboratively with team members in a fast-paced retail branch environment

Required Qualifications

• 1+ year of customer-facing experience (retail, banking, hospitality, or similar)
• Experience handling cash transactions with accuracy and accountability
• Strong customer service and interpersonal skills
• Ability to stay focused and organized in a high-volume environment
• Basic administrative and data entry skills
• Comfortable working with financial transactions and sensitive information
• Reliable, punctual, and able to work a consistent schedule

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience as a bank teller or in financial services
• Experience working in a retail or sales-driven environment
• Familiarity with banking products (checking, savings, credit cards, etc.)
• Experience using Microsoft Office or similar systems

Schedule

• Monday Thursday: 8:30 AM 5:30 PM
• Friday: 8:30 AM 6:30 PM
• Saturday: 8:30 AM 2:30 PM
  • If working Saturday, you will receive one day off during the week

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $23.28 - $23.28/hr.
