Must be able to work at least 3 Saturdays a month $16-19 Ages 14+ About the Role We run a small food truck at our farm, and we need another set of hands. Farm on Central is an 8-acre urban family farm between Dayton and Cincinnati. People come out for u-pick strawberries and blackberries, the pumpkin patch, the bakery, and lately, the food truck. We fry funnel cakes in beef tallow, make focaccia breakfast sandwiches, make corn dogs from scratch, spin maple cotton candy — simple food done right, nothing from a freezer bag. The truck runs Fridays and Saturdays at the farm, plus the occasional regional event (a few now, more as we grow). Your week looks like this: 1 -2 prep days a week: batters, cutting, stocking, cleaning - you will help prep products both for the food truck and our retail store. Fridays and Saturdays: you're in the truck. Frying, plating, taking orders, running the register (cash and card) Saturdays get busy. When there's a line of hungry people at the window, you need to keep moving and keep your cool. If that sounds fun instead of stressful, you'll do well here. You'll also get a real say in the menu. We're still building it out, and good ideas get made and sold, not filed away. What we're looking for Reliable. Saturdays are non-negotiable — that's when the truck is open Comfortable on your feet for a full shift, working around fryers in a small space Friendly at the window. You're the face of the truck Kitchen or food truck experience is a plus, but we'll train the right person.
