Senior Sales Engineer

Eaton’s North American Sales Division is currently seeking a Senior Sales Engineer to join its team in Grapevine, TX. This opportunity involves managing a customer base, driving electrical product sales, and delivering technical solutions within a defined market, with exposure to pricing, negotiations, and relationship management with customers and distributors. The role has a strong national contract base that gives access to large-scale national end users. What you’ll do The primary function of the Senior Sales Engineer is to market and sell Eaton’s products and services to obtain profitable orders. Responsibilities include: Develop and execute sales plans to meet performance expectations Quote projects and negotiate required pricing Prepare sales presentations to create product understanding and awareness Build relationships with key customers to enhance long-term business prospects Work with factories to resolve technical issues while collaborating with customers to resolve quality issues Canvas the market to gain insight and adjust to ever-changing pricing and delivery requirements Assist the team to develop a coordinated sales effort while keeping management informed of market conditions Obtain ongoing training on both functional and technical skills Qualifications Required (Basic) Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution Minimum three years of technical or commercial field experience Valid driver’s license No relocation is offered; must reside within 50 miles of Grapevine, TX (Active-Duty Military Service members are exempt) Position does not offer immigration sponsorship or support for CPT, OPT, STEM OPT, H-1B, O-1, etc. Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering Skills Excellent communication skills Ability to work in the United States without corporate sponsorship now and in the future Responsive to a variety of circumstances while demonstrating superior selling skills for customer services and applications Strong electrical product knowledge Ability to provide technical solutions built around customer needs Skilled in time management Negotiating skills with techniques needed to close orders Experience preparing sales proposals that meet customer expectations Robust presentation and training skills Experience utilizing value-added selling techniques Strong work ethic, competitiveness, willingness to learn, and adept at building relationships Experience working with Bidmanager and Vista Compensation The compensation range for this full-time position includes base pay and a target sales performance incentive.
