This highly regarded hospital in southwestern Colorado is seeking an Operating Room Charge RN for an exciting opportunity to lead a close-knit surgical team in a progressive environment. Reporting to the Operating Room Manager, the Operating Room Charge RN will collaborate closely with the OR Director, surgeons, and anesthesia providers to ensure each case runs smoothly. This role also supports a talented team of surgical nurses and techs, serving as both a clinical resource and a mentor to newer staff members.

The Operating Room Charge RN will oversee daily operations across nine surgical suites, including one dedicated to labor and delivery. The department averages 20–30 cases per day, with services ranging from general and orthopedic to obstetric procedures. The energy in the OR is fast-paced but deeply team-oriented, where collaboration and mutual respect drive exceptional care.

As an Operating Room Charge RN, you’ll coordinate assignments, manage case flow, and support the OR team through effective communication and problem-solving. You’ll take an active role in education, mentoring, and ensuring staff maintain the highest standards of safety and performance. This position also participates in call rotations and may assist with cases when needed, offering a hands-on leadership experience that keeps you closely connected to patient care.
