Manufacturing Production Operator

Position Manufacturing Production Operator – First shift – Colorado Springs, CO. Shift hours: Monday through Friday, 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM. Compensation & Benefits Pay: $18.25 – $18.75 per hour plus applicable bonus. Pay is commensurate with experience. Key Responsibilities Use tweezers to pick/place optical engines from trays, onto tabletop testers, and back. Perform measurements, alignment, and testing of optical cable. Understand work instructions applicable to the area. Read and interpret orders based on specifications found on blueprints and PICS. Familiarize with all equipment, tooling, and understand their use in the assembly process. Use a microscope for extended periods. Maintain in-process workflow in a lean manufacturing environment. Demonstrate a quality mindset throughout all processes. Communicate effectively with co-workers (written and verbal). Exercise patience with repetitive processes and suggest improvements. Pay attention to detail. Responsibilities are a general guideline; additional tasks may be assigned. Required Experience One year of production/manufacturing experience. Willingness to adhere to safety rules and wear required protective gear (noise, hazardous materials, etc.). Physical Requirements Steady hands. Good hand/eye coordination. Must be able to sit/stand for at least 90 consecutive minutes. Preferred Education High school diploma or equivalent required. Training On the job training as appropriate.
