X-Ray Technician
Location: Long Island City, NY Duration: 2 months Contract Schedule: 4pm to 12am (every other weekend). Hourly rate: $62/hour on W2 (Negotiable)
Job Summary
Operate radiologic imaging equipment to produce diagnostic images. Prepare and position patients for imaging procedures. Follow radiation safety and infection control protocols.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare, position, and educate patients before procedures.
- Operate X-ray equipment and adjust exposure settings.
- Ensure radiation safety for patients and staff.
- Produce high-quality diagnostic images and make necessary adjustments.
- Document patient care and complete exam records accurately.
- Perform basic equipment maintenance and report malfunctions.
- Maintain radiology supplies and a clean, safe work environment.
- Stay current with required CME and regulatory requirements.
- Complete annual Age-Specific Competency.
- Perform other assigned duties as needed.
Required Education
Graduate of an JCERT approved School of Radiologic Technology.
Requirements
- New York State Department of Health Licensed Radiologic Technologist (Required).
- Strong knowledge of diagnostic imaging procedures.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Dependable with a strong focus on patient safety and quality care.
