Great Lakes Honda City is looking for an experienced and driven Service Manager to lead our growing Service Department in Liverpool, NY.

We are looking for a hands-on automotive leader who understands that a successful Service Department starts with great people, exceptional customer service, strong processes, and accountability. The ideal candidate will have proven dealership service management experience and the ability to motivate a team while driving both customer satisfaction and department profitability.

What You’ll Do

• Lead, coach, and develop the Service Advisors, Technicians, and Service Department team
• Oversee the daily operations of the Service Department
• Drive customer satisfaction, retention, and CSI performance
• Monitor and improve technician productivity, efficiency, and overall shop performance
• Manage department profitability, gross profit, expenses, and key performance indicators
• Establish and maintain high standards for customer communication and service
• Work closely with the Parts Department and other dealership managers to ensure an efficient workflow
• Monitor repair orders, technician performance, labor sales, and departmental goals
• Recruit, train, and retain top automotive service talent
• Handle customer concerns professionally and work toward positive resolutions
• Ensure compliance with dealership policies, manufacturer standards, and applicable regulations
• Maintain a clean, organized, professional, and safe Service Department
• Lead by example and create a culture of accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement

Requirements:

What We’re Looking For

• 3+ years of automotive dealership Service Management experience preferred
• Strong understanding of dealership service operations and fixed-ops performance
• Proven ability to lead and motivate a team
• Strong knowledge of service department financials and KPIs
• Excellent communication and customer-service skills
• Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume dealership environment
• CDK experience is a plus
• Honda experience is strongly preferred, but not required
• Must have a valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record
