Job Details

• Position: Labor and Delivery (L&D) Nurse
• Location: Healthcare facility (generic)
• Schedule: Night shifts, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: Valid RN license (KS or Compact), 2 years of relevant experience preferred, BLS, Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP), and Labor & Delivery certifications required at time of submission
• Preferred Qualifications: Previous charge experience, Epic charting system experience
• Responsibilities:
  • Care of obstetric patients including high-risk labor and delivery, postpartum, and neonatal care
  • Assist with various obstetric procedures such as amniocentesis, circumcisions, and cesarean sections
  • Support for vaginal delivery, epidural anesthesia, and labor management
  • Administration of medications, fetal monitoring, and postpartum assessments
  • Educate patients on postpartum and newborn care, including breastfeeding and car seat safety
  • Manage high acuity obstetric conditions and emergencies, and maintain patient safety standards
