Gas Turbine Assembly Specialist (1st Shift 6:30am - 3pm)*

A Snapshot of Your Day Theprimary purpose of this position is the complete assembly and disassembly ofGas Turbine Engines and related sub-assemblies and related parts. Toolsused include but are not limited to: Hand tools of various types and sizes,precision measurement tools including borescopes, specialty torquing and boltstretching tools including heating devices, material handling devices, numerousstandard and conventional PPE devices.Material handling equipment How You’ll Make an Impact With supervisionand technical staff, develop assembly sequencing and procedures. Perform cleaning,assembly, fitting and preservation activities for engine sub assembly andfinal assembly operations including blending and detailing. Activitiesinclude borescoping and basic wiring on engine for Gas Turbine. Loads/unloadsparts using material handling devices during assembly and/or assists craneoperators. Works according toSiemens Energy values, procedures and policies. Adapts to varioussituations and adjusts to shifting priorities. Team player - providesassistance to co-workers i.e. training, handling, and/or measurements etc. Completes detailedrecords and other information, as required by systems (OperatorVerification, product identification, etc.) Maintains own workarea - preventative maintenance, cleans and returns tooling, attachments,fixtures, tables, etc. to proper location upon completion of operation Assists qualityorganization with measuring, testing, charting of operational informationand/or recording data FollowsSiemens Energy established procedures to operate machinery/equipment.Performs a variety of in-process and integrity checks (electronic ormanual), as required, in order to maintain specific drawing tolerances. What You Bring Knowledge in the use of shop mathematics,together with the use of drawings, specifications, charts, tables, varioustypes of hand tools and/or the training generally applicable in a particular orspecialized occupation. Applicants must have a minimum of 3-5 years ofexperience and applicable trades training such as an associates degree. You possess a High School Diploma or GED. Ability to manually lift up to 50 lbs for shortdurations, with or without reasonable accommodation. Abilityto work with either written, oral, or graphic instructions. Ability to obtain fork truck and crane licensesthrough Siemens Energy’s internal certification programs. Successful applicants must be able to pass standard hearing, vision, and pulmonary function tests or anyother as required to perform the duties.
