Temporary to Potential Permanent Hire

As the Manufacturing General Laborer, you will provide essential support to associates in Assembly, Manufacturing, and Facilities Maintenance in the form of general labor.  This role involves a variety of tasks that support manufacturing processes, maintain the cleanliness and safety of the work environment, and assist in basic maintenance, all contributing to an efficient and streamlined workflow within Operations.

Manufacturing General Laborer Responsibilities Include:

• Assembly Support:
• • Prepare components for assembly, including removing plastic film from parts, removing part numbers, and breaking down packaging for disposal.
  • Assemble small parts and components such as chain links or machined plates.
  • Organize carts, packaging, and pallets in assembly and the warehouse.
  • Ensure all company guidelines and safety rules are followed when performing duties.
• Manufacturing Support:
• • Cleaning and preparing equipment, including power washing, use of cleaning chemicals, and polishing of machine surfaces.
  • Assist with Kanban programs, including auditing inventory levels of bins and spools of tubing and wire.
  • Building pallets and crates for shipping.

• Facilities Maintenance Support:
• • Assist in maintaining the overall cleanliness and organization of the manufacturing and assembly areas.
  • Provide back-up to facilities maintenance routine tasks such as trash removal, sweeping, and bin preparation.
  • Assist with building maintenance and improvement projects such as painting and landscaping.

Manufacturing General Laborer Qualifications and Skills: 

• Ability to perform repetitive tasks for extended periods.
• Ability to operate basic tools, equipment, and machinery.
• Ability to pass a drug screen and background check.
• Physical stamina with the ability to lift up to 70 pounds and perform physically demanding tasks.
• Strong attention to detail with a commitment to maintaining high-quality standards, specifically related to preparing and cleaning parts.
• Committed to maintaining a safe and productive work environment.
• Must be able to work in a fast-paced work environment.
• Must be able to work independently and in teams.

Work Environment:

• This position requires standing, walking, and lifting for extended periods.
• The work environment may involve exposure to loud noises, heavy machinery, and varying temperatures.
• Compliance with safety regulations and the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) is mandatory.
