The ideal candidate will have strong interpersonal skills and be able to communicate effectively with both customers and the front desk. The individual who is chosen will be responsible for maintaining the inventory of pharmacy items, preparing and storing medications, processing insurance claims and ringing up customers.Responsibilities:Fills prescription items, as permitted by the State Board of Pharmacy, packaging medications for dispensing and for delivery, meeting the accuracy and productivity standards of the pharmacyPrepares prescriptions under the direct supervision of a pharmacistLabels products appropriately, including cautionary or auxiliary labelsParticipates in the periodic inventory of the pharmacyChecks drugs and supplies, inventory counts, stock shelves and remove out-of-date items from the inventoryCommunicates in-person or on the phone with internal and external customers in a pleasant and professional mannerMaintains equipment cleanliness and clutter free environment in pharmacyAssists in the training of new employeesCompletes adherence and prescription pick up callsAddresses all patient concerns and needs in professional mannerAttends designated departmental meeting as requested by pharmacist-in-chargePerforms other tasks or duties as requestedJob Type: Full-timeBenefits:401(k)401(k) matchingDental insuranceFlexible scheduleHealth insuranceLife insuranceOpportunities for advancementPaid time offRetirement planVision insurancePhysical setting:ClinicOutpatientSchedule:Day shiftExperience:Pharmacy technician experience: 1 year (Preferred).Georgia Board of Pharmacy Registered Technician (Required)Work Location: In personSalary: $15 - $20 per hour
