Assembly Mechanic
Work Location: Renton, WA 98057 Duration: 06+ months Note:
- Must be able to work any shift
- Training will take place either in Wichita or Renton - TBD.
- Training will take place in Wichita, KS
- Client will schedule/pay for flights (Mileage reimbursement is being offered if candidate wants to drive instead of fly)
- Client is offering hotel reimbursement for training only while in Wichita
Description:
- Seal, fillet and fay, cap seal, brush coat, etc. for major assemblies, sub-assemblies, precision bench and integral fuel cell.
- Apply scotch cast, leveling compound, aerodynamic seal and pressure test, working from drawings, documents, process specifications, quality control requirements and established processes and procedures.
- The Company will provide appropriate assistance in job training to enable employees to perform all necessary job functions including the following:
- Work with blueprints, changes, specifications, work orders, etc. sealing to quality requirements.
- Complete required data gathering transactions to facilitate all sealer progression.
- Perform any and all required pickup, rework, fabrication, change incorporation, functional testing or check during or after final seal and/or seal progression.
- Use measuring instruments as required to accomplish work assignments
- Report and/or investigate job handicaps such as: errors, assembly procedures, tools, sequences, etc.
- Support the continuous flow of product within the manufacturing process by training, coaching and assisting employees of all classification levels.
- Document any discrepancies according to specification, process, and procedure.
- Temporarily attach parts and or assemblies, install collars and other hardware not related to drilling or countersinking.
- Integral Fuel Cell Sealing - Apply sealing compounds to seal fuel cell and related wing section components.
- Additionally, the employee must have the skill and knowledge to perform one or more of the skills listed below, along with any lower level sealant level described below:
- Sealer - Major Assembly / Large structure sealing / Aerodynamic seal
Requirements:
- MRO Experience is a MUST.
- These resources need to be proficient at skin disassembly and reassembly on finished airplanes.
- Training includes SEA092, SEA083, ASY050 and the standard online training.
