IT Business Analyst - SAP/ Manufacturing

As an IT Business Analyst, you will be a member of the Frontline IT organization supporting PPG's Traffic Solutions team. You will interact daily with our users globally, address business issues through the appropriate application of new or existing technology and address & resolve user issues. This position is located in our office in Greensboro, North Carolina headquarters - we offer a hybrid work model. You will report to the IT Manager.Key ResponsibilitiesAbility to rapidly assimilate assigned business area's products and processesKnowledge and experience in gathering requirements, functional design, testing and working with business processesUnderstanding of how IT effects an organization and ability to link it to redesigned business processesTechnical skills to support user requests independently with standard tools if availableNetworks with other PPG Analysts to understand how IT solutions are deployed in other areas to solve business problemsDemonstrate flexibility and the ability to learn quickly to develop effective working relationships across a diverse team of functional, technical, and business partnersPossess strong problem solving skillsStrong business relationships with business and technical teams within assigned areaAbility to support software delivery as needed with product manager interactions, specifications and user stories development as neededAbility to support test plan development and change management activities as neededProject Management Skills - ability to lead and deliver small projects independently.Knowledge and experience with SDLC methodologies (Waterfall, Agile)Ability to support and document enhancements for ERP systems (i.e. SAP)Ability to support manufacturing execution systems (MES)QualificationsA four year degree or higher in Information Systems Management, Computer Science, Engineering, Chemistry, a related discipline or equivalent experience 5+ years of IT or a related discipline experiencePrior experience supporting and/or implementing SAP for a manufacturing organization is required.Prior experience supporting manufacturing systems and integrations is preferred.Strong Analytical and conceptual skillsStrong oral and written communication skills, including technical writingMust have a strong systems and process orientationTrack record of participation on IT project teamsMust be comfortable working remotely using primarily virtual means of collaborating with colleagues and managersHighly motivated with a commitment to delivering high quality work in a dynamic fast paced environmentPossess the ability and desire to foster the development of junior team membersTechnical skills to support minor user requests such as ad-hoc reports, data extraction, etc.How we work: At PPG, we bring teams together to accelerate collaboration and career development, with in-person work Monday through Thursday and the opportunity to work remotely on Flexible Fridays.
