Website: Position Summary Admissions Registered Nurse (RN) – Day Shift Responsibilities Responds to incoming calls for referrals and admissions coordination. Assesses patients’ psychiatric and medical status, documenting all inquiries and referrals accurately in the medical record. Ensures nursing and clinical staff are updated on the patient’s condition and medical history. Distributes referral paperwork and prepares unit charts as required. Assesses, directs, and intervenes in crisis situations. Provides leadership and direction to mental health technicians. Contributes to the treatment plan as a member of the interdisciplinary team. One year of psychiatric nursing experience preferred. CPR and hospital de‑escalation certifications (obtained during orientation). Must complete new‑hire requirements including nationwide background check and pre‑employment drug screen. State and federal Office of the Inspector General check.
