Gastroenterology Physician

Opportunity: Physician - Internal Medicine - Gastroenterology Job Details: • Provide gastroenterology services with approximately 12 patient encounters per shift • Perform upper GI endoscopy including biopsies, foreign body removal, and fulguration of bleeders • Conduct injection of varices and manage gastrointestinal bleeding • Perform ERCP procedures both diagnostic and therapeutic • Execute PEG (percutaneous endoscopic gastrostomy) procedures • Conduct small bowel biopsies as required • Perform lower GI endoscopy including sigmoidoscopy (flexible and rigid) • Conduct colonoscopy procedures with biopsy and polyp excision capabilities • Manage insertion and oversight of Sengstaken/Blakemore tubes • Must be board certified or board eligible with fellowship training required • BLS certification required • Must maintain active Kentucky medical license • Credentialing timeframe approximately 45 days • Lodging available at Hampton Inn or Marriott Courtyard • Nearest airport is Lexington, KY Compensation: Competitive hourly rates with weekly pay and malpractice included.
