Senior Claims Examiner - General Liability (High Volume Desk)Hybrid Schedule from NYC or Central NJ (3 days in office/ week only) $130,000 - $150,000 base + 15% bonus + benefits including 30 days PTO A leading insurance carrier is seeking an experienced Senior Claims Examiner to join their General Liability team. This is a technical role handling mid level Commercial General Liability claims across a diverse portfolio. You will manage claims from first notice through resolution, with a strong focus on coverage analysis, litigation strategy, and stakeholder management. Please note this is a lower value, higher volume desk and claims will typically range from $5,000 - $25,000 in value with a caseload of around 150 - 200 files. Key Responsibilities Handle CGL claims including premises liability, product liability, slip & falls and other bodily injury cases Handle coverage matters including writing own coverage letters and coverage decisions Manage litigated files, coordinating defense counsel and driving strategy through to resolution Evaluate liability, damages, and settlement exposure on higher-severity claims Maintain strong relationships with brokers, insureds, attorneys, and internal stakeholders Ensure compliance with company guidelines and industry best practices Qualifications 3+ years of Commercial General Liability claims experience (premise/product/slip & falls etc.). Experience with other liability claims such as construction BI, NYLL and/or builders risk claims beneficial Strong exposure to coverage investigation and litigated files. Must have experience writing coverage letters.
