Job Description
TITLE
Medical-Surgical/Telemetry (MS Nights)

SCHEDULE
Shift: Nights
Weekend requirement: Every other weekend; 6 weekend shifts every 6 weeks

ASSIGNMENT DETAILS
Contract Length: Travel assignment
Guaranteed Hours: Not specified

REQUIREMENTS
- Minimum 1 year RN experience
- BLS and ACLS certifications (in hand)
- Telemetry monitoring and dysrhythmia recognition/management
- Post-procedure care (post-cath/angiogram, post-IR)
- IV/PICC/central line care, blood product administration, heparin gtt (no insulin gtt)
- Chest tube management, feeding tube care
- Oxygen therapy/HFNC, non-invasive airway support, isolation precautions
- Experience with Epic charting system

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide direct patient care for adults and geriatrics in a medical-surgical and telemetry setting.
- Monitor and assess patient conditions, including telemetry readings and vital signs.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, ensuring patient safety and comfort.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to implement and evaluate patient care plans.
- Educate patients and families regarding health conditions, treatments, and post-discharge care.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical record (EMR).

COMPLIANCE / NOTES
- Valid RN license required at time of submission: OK or Compact (must be in hand).
- RTO (requested time off) must be listed at time of submittal.
- Local radius: 75 miles; local rule: not accepted.
