About the Role
ISL International School of Languages is seeking a warm, engaging Spanish teacher for our after-school enrichment programs at a private school in Glenn Dale, MD, starting late August 2026. You will lead small-group Spanish classes for early learners throughout the 2026-2027 academic year.
Schedule
- Wednesdays, 3:00 PM to 4:30 PM
- Tuesdays 3:00 PM to 4:30 PM
- Full academic year: late August 2026 through early June 2027
What You'll Do
- Design and deliver your own age-appropriate curriculum and lesson plans for PreK and Kindergarten Spanish (ISL provides guidance and support along the way)
- Teach small groups of up to 15 students using play-based methods (songs, flashcards, movement, games, arts and crafts)
- Contribute to bi-weekly parent updates and home learning resources
What We're Looking For
- Native or near-native Spanish proficiency
- Experience teaching young children (PreK to Kindergarten) strongly preferred
- Comfortable building your own age-appropriate curriculum for early learners
- Warm, energetic classroom presence with the ability to keep young learners engaged
- Reliable transportation to Glenn Dale, MD
- Ability to bring your own instructional materials
