Nuclear Medicine Technologist

Job Title: Nuclear Medicine Technologist

Profession: Radiology / Cardiology Specialty: Nuclear Medicine Tech

Duration: 13 weeks

Shift: Day

Hours per Shift: 8 hours (08:00 - 16:30)

Experience: Minimum 1 year PET/CT experience or eligibility for advanced registry preferred

License: ARRT (N) and/or NMTCB registered with current ODH licensure

Certifications: CPR certification

Must-Have: Satisfactory completion of formal radiologic technology training in an AMA-approved school in Nuclear Medicine. 1 year PET/CT experience or eligibility for PET/CT advanced registry preferred. PET/CT advanced certification is preferred.

Description: Operates equipment and all related instrumentation. Makes appropriate imaging decisions for technique, positioning, and radiation protection. Administers radiopharmaceuticals under the direction of the supervising Radiologist and documents appropriately. Maintains awareness of potential adverse reactions. Practices sterile technique and prevents cross-contamination. Maintains necessary records, including but not limited to properly labeling images for interpretation. Rotates within the department and performs exams in acute care hospital and outpatient clinical locations. On-call rotation every 4th week, Saturday and Sunday 08:00 - 16:00. First-time travelers are welcome.
