Area Learning Center Teacher - Grade 9-12 (Math), 1.0 FTE (2026-2027)

Area Learning Center Teacher – Grade 9–12 (Math) The EP Area Learning Center is looking for a licensed Math educator to teach an interdisciplinary studio block course during the first half of each school day, rotating topics each term, and a MyTime course focused on student career, academic, wellness, and relational goals during the afternoon. This 1.0 FTE position is located in Valley View and is available from August 31, 2026. Responsibilities Teach an interdisciplinary studio block course aligned to the district’s project‑based learning model. Rotate topics each term and develop new studio courses during paid summer curriculum‑writing time. Deliver a MyTime course during part of the afternoon to support students’ career, academic, wellness, and relational goals. Provide academic and interpersonal counseling that supports whole‑student development. Maintain a 15‑to‑1 student‑to‑staff ratio and cultivate a non‑intimidating, small‑scale learning environment. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in education or related field from an accredited college or university. Minnesota Teacher License in 9‑12 Mathematics (cross‑curricular delivery permission required). Ability to receive or is in the process of obtaining a cross‑curricular delivery permission by August 31, 2026. Experience with interdisciplinary, project‑based instruction and student counseling is preferred. Benefits Salary: $53,023 base for 1.0 FTE BA, $64,910 for 1.0 FTE MA, with higher placement for more experience. Up to 12 sick days and up to 2 personal days annually.
