Let's get to work!Duties Include but not limited to:Survey/assess existing facility and master planning, scoping and estimating level of engineering effortField work to assess existing conditionsReport writing, conceptual design, design development of drawings, specifications, and calculation analysesAssistance with cost estimating and technical review of design packagesDirecting the activities of more junior engineering staff for these same tasks will be requiredDispositioning NCRsPerforming assessments on existing design, responding to RFIs, issuing Design Change Notices (DCNs)Coordination with Quality on inspections and supporting development of scopes of work for electrical subcontracts and services during bidding and construction, including answering requests for information, bid review, shop drawing review, site visits during construction, commissioning support, hosting progress meetings, and project closeoutQualifications:BS or MS-Electrical Engineering from an ABET-certified institution and 8 or more years of electrical engineering design experienceConstruction support experience for Title 3 activitiesMust be able to show proof of US citizenship (to comply with government customer requirements and/or applicable government regulations)Short Circuit Analysis experienceVery knowledgeable in the NECExperience leading groups of engineers and designers on major projectsExperience with leading technical discussions with clientAbility to author proposals and Statements of work is a plusPreferred Qualifications:PE LicenseDOE experience desiredNQA-1 experience desiredArc Flash Analysis experienceFamiliarity with Instrumentation & Controls interfaceKnowledge of broad range of electrical systems is required, including power system design, substation design, fire alarm design, lighting design, load flow studies, communications design, grounding design and equipment selectionAbility to independently produce sizing calculations and other analyses/reports is requiredExperience in providing construction support or services during construction is requiredWork LocationThis position is designed to support either in-office or remote work, with a strong preference for the successful candidate to work from Amentum's office in Oak Ridge, Tennessee. Employees who reside within 50 miles of Oak Ridge will be expected to work from the Oak Ridge office. Employees who live more than 50 miles away are eligible for a remote work arrangement; however, remote employees must travel to the Oak Ridge office on a quarterly basis. Those working remotely are required to maintain a company-approved secure workspace that meets all client security requirements and is located within the United States. This U.S.-based secure work location requirement applies to all projects associated with the position.Compensation Details:$175,000 - $190,000The compensation range or hourly rate listed for this position is provided as a good-faith estimate of what the company intends to offer for this role at the time this posting was issued.
