Job Summary:
This labor and delivery registered nurse (RN) position is located in Winchester, Tennessee. The role involves providing specialized care to adult patients and newborns in a high-volume maternity unit. The RN will support the delivery, postpartum, and high-risk obstetric care, ensuring patient safety and comfort in a Level 1 obstetric trauma setting.

Job Details:

• Shift: Nights, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: Valid RN licensure in Tennessee, certification in AWHONN, ACLS, and BLS, with at least 2 years of experience as a labor nurse, including managing high-risk patients such as pre-eclampsia and insulin-dependent diabetes mellitus (IDDM)
• Preferred Qualifications: Ability to handle high-risk obstetric cases and possess a fun, team-oriented personality adaptable to fluctuating patient census in the OB department
• Schedule: Night shifts, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours weekly
• Additional Information: Orientation is held weekly on Mondays. Candidates must have required certifications prior to start date. No call requirements are specified, and the unit maintains a patient ratio of 1:1 or 1:2 in labor, and 1:6 postpartum. The facility features four labor beds, two triage rooms, and seven postpartum rooms, along with comprehensive OB services including ultrasound, radiology, and emergency care.
