About the Role:
Jackson Hewitt is looking for motivated Tax Preparers to join our Phoenix, AZ team for the upcoming tax season! Whether you're looking for full-time or part-time work from January through April, this is a fantastic opportunity to build your financial expertise and help clients navigate tax season with confidence.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare accurate federal and state income tax returns for individual clients
• Interview clients to gather necessary financial and personal information
• Identify eligible tax credits, deductions, and exemptions to maximize client refunds
• Review and verify tax documents including W-2s, 1099s, and other financial records
• Maintain client confidentiality and ensure data security compliance
• Deliver outstanding customer service and clearly explain tax return outcomes to clients
• Meet productivity and quality standards during peak tax season

Requirements:

• Prior tax preparation experience preferred, but training will be available
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy with numbers and financial data
• Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
• Ability to work a flexible schedule January through April, including weekends
• Basic computer proficiency and comfort with tax preparation software
• High school diploma or equivalent required
• PTIN (Preparer Tax Identification Number) or willingness to obtain one
